This Blog has Some Major Competition!

Sometimes it feels like one should just throw in the towel when it comes to blogging. There is always someone funnier, more poignant, cooler, or quirkier. I’ve seen bloggers lament this before, and admit to their own feelings of inadequacies.

But really, I can’t be bothered with that. I spent most of my youth feeling insecure. So I’m totally over it (or drank it out of my system in university years. Whatever).

I don’t see my blog as competing with other blogs. My blog just exists. It just is.

However … and you knew there would be a “however,” right? … I recently gifted my Hubby with an iPad. It’s the first iPad the house has had. And although Hubby rejects the notion of being tethered to any kind of technology (you know, like those fancy new fan-dangled things called cell phones? He’s still never owned one) I thought he’d enjoy it.

We were sitting on the couch while he was poking around on it when I said, “You really should like the Coffee with Julie page on Facebook, you know?”

So he googled Coffee with J… and this is what automatically populated.

Um. Coffee with Jesus? How the hell (er, excuse my language) am I supposed to compete with that??

  2. Stefanieteach says:

You can’t sweetie, you can’t. But I’ll keep reading yours and not his. Ok?

  3. I never had my boobs done… :-) And also this:

Don’t go changing to try and please me
You never let me down before, mmm
And don’t imagine you’re too familiar
And I don’t see you any more

I would not leave you in times of trouble
We never could have come this far, mmm
I took the good times, I’ll take the bad times
I’ll take you just the way you are

    :-)

  4. that is so funny. I like you too. There is room in the big bad blogosphere for all of us, right :)

  5. That made me laugh right out loud. Who can compete with that indeed?

  7. Haha, funny post…reminds of the stories you hear about companies using brand names that mean something, umm, ‘bad’ in other languages….and then they wonder why their product won’t sell. 😉

  8. I have a Jesus action figure.  This is right up my “religious” alley.
