I get an uncomfortable mix of emotions when I watch certain things. A ballet performance. A theatrical play. And the hit television series Glee.
I imagine other former gleeks take pleasure in watching these things. But me? It teases out raw, bittersweet feelings…
I did drama in high school, too and was in several productions and went on to theatre school and did a few more productions and learned how to put productions together from start to finish and then I got bored of the whole “drama” of the entire lifestyle. I don’t think you missed out on anything. The people I still know from that school who stayed in the field are still living in student digs, eating KD, old before their time and struggling, struggling, struggling.
