The Wonder Battery

One of the most enjoyable parts of working in communications is the opportunity to meet members of Canadian industry. Recently, a writer I work with asked me to help him interview and write a series of success stories on investing in Canada.

One of the companies I spoke with was Phostech Lithium, based in Quebec. The most interesting tidbit I have to share with you on this company is that they have developed an advanced lithium-ion battery that could make the green car a feasible item in the near future.

Yep, Canada may be the R&D power-house behind the green car. We’re pretty clever aren’t we?

If you’d like to learn more about this emerging technology, you can read the article as posted on the Government of Canada’s site or on Phostech’s site.

  1. I can better get behind a national identity that features green innovation than the current donut-named-after-a-hockey-player thing we have going on right now. (Seriously, this is a HUGE pet peeve)

Pretty cool. Thanks for sharing this.
